Local Foods From West Sumatera (Padang)

When we hear the word Padang, we certainly will remember the restaurant field, which is where the restaurant is there diseuruh parts of Indonesia and even the world especially asia. From this field we must already know the name rendang, which is derived from beef, the menu is always there in every home eating any desert. Here's a few dishes that I know of for the area west of Sumatra .


1. Randang or Rendang

Rendang is a dish of meat or randang spicy flavor which uses a mixture of various herbs and spices.It's a traditional cuisine with coconut milk beef as the main ingredient. Typical cuisine from West Sumatra, Indonesia is very popular in all circles of society be it in Indonesia itself or abroad. In addition to beef, rendang also use coconut ( Karambia ), and a mixture of various herbs typical of Indonesia, including chili ( Lado ), galangal, lemongrass, onions and other spices that is usually referred to as ( Cookers ). 

Rendang has its own philosophy for the Minang people of West Sumatra, namely deliberation, which departs from the 4 basic ingredients, namely :
Dagiang ( Beef ) , is a symbol of niniak Mamak ( indigenous tribe leaders )
Karambia ( Coconut ), is a symbol of Cadiak Smart ( Intellectuals )
Lado ( Chili ), is a symbol of Muslim Scholars spicy, expressly to teach Syarak ( religion )
Cookers ( seasoning ), is a symbol of the whole society Minang .








2. Lado Itiak Hijau

Lado Itiak Hijau, known as Itiak Lado Mudo is a young duck potpie greased chopped green chillies. So many servings of chili, as if we saw a duck meat was "soaking" in the chili.  3. Ayam Pop (Chicken Pop)

When we traveling into Aceh Province we will meet, local foods from this city.  these some of foods from this province you can taste.

1 . Keumamah 
Often called the wooden fish , a traditional food of Aceh's most in demand by the people of Aceh . Besides having a delicious and unique taste , this fish is made of tuna that has been boiled , then dried and cut into small slices .Cooked with coconut milk, potatoes, green peppers and other spices . These durable wooden fish to take long trips, so it can be used as stock when transit . These food was have during the Aceh war against the Dutch in the forest, these foods are very famous because it is very easy to carry and cooked.



 2 . Sie Reuboh 
Sie Reuboh is counted fairly simple dishes in the province given the plethora of food typical of Aceh is strong and spicy foods contain a lot of spices. Sie Reboh vinegar is boiled meat cooked with crushed spices then added vinegar causing the sour taste fresh.
